Recent Java News (this link constantly changes)

Java programming is probably my favorite pastime (other than family related things of course), yet I'm the least proficient at it relative to other areas of technical interest.  I originally started playing around with Java nearly 6 years ago; if I had kept up with it I'd likely be good at it by now.  Anyway, here are some Java related links I find useful (or local to my geography):

http://java.sun.com The Java homepage at Sun
http://www.jars.com EarthWeb's Java page
http://www.jroundup.com A Java developer website
http://www.javaworld.com

A Java magazine

http://www.eserv.biz Company that does Java development in the Quad City (Iowa/Illinois) area
http://www.380jug.org Eastern Iowa Java Users Group (in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City along I380)
http://www.cijug.org Central Iowa Java Users Group (in Des Moines)

My current Java projects:

1 - Currently pondering the idea of some online Servlet based database applications.  I'm currently reading "Java Data Access: JDBC, JNDI, and JAXP" by Todd M. Thomas.  Hopefully this will inspire me to write some code rather than just pondering it.  You can visit http://catalog.idgbooks.com/product.asp?isbn=0764548468 for more information on this book.  I've read other JDBC books, this one seems to be the best so far.

2 -

No other projects (man I'm lazy!).
